Happy Third Birthday Amelia!

Her actual birthday was last Tuesday and we had a fun little party at our house on Saturday.  We wanted to keep it really small and even at that, several kids couldn't show up due to other plans or illness.  In the end, 6 friends joined Amelia for cupcakes & ice cream and lots of chasing each other around the house.  You would think that August would be ideal for a birthday pool party but it was too hot to be anywhere outdoors!

We have so many tiaras laying around the house now that each girl was able to wear one at some point during the party.

A coworker from years ago now does party face/body painting for kids as a side job.  She came over for an hour and all the kids got something painted on their forearm (no one wanted anything on their faces for some reason!).   

Amelia asked for a mermaid and all the other girls got the same thing.

She blew out all the candles by herself - good job!  The boys on either side of her were ready to help.

Sienna's baby brother with dad Alex.  He's over a year old now so not quite a baby anymore.  He was such a good little boy and content just to sit and eat and eat and eat!

During the party I caught Amelia standing on a dining chair where she'd opened up half of her presents on own!  All the cards and to/from tags had been tossed aside too so I had to figure out who had brought what (for thank yous!).

 

After almost everyone had left, Diego's parents stayed awhile to chat.  We found these two lovebirds sitting on the couch together watching Beauty & the Beast!
