My big girl is 5 years old! By her request, we had a small girls-only birthday party at the roller skating rink. We had a lot of fun although Juliet was SO MAD for most of the party because she wanted to wear roller skates like the big girls! Our gift to Amelia was a Razor Scooter and she LOVES LOVES LOVES it, riding it many times each day.
Birthday morning! We spent the day swimming, then went out for lunch & ice cream.
We had a small brownie cake with strawberries to celebrate at home (look how tired she looks!).
This was the cake for the party. It was made by Whole Foods and was so delicious! Amelia loves mermaids right now.
Skating with mom! Amelia goes really really slow. She's such a perfectionist and would rather take her time and skate like a determined turtle than dare fall down. We need to work on that so she can loosen up!!
Did I mention the birthday kid gets to get in the CASH MACHINE?! We prepped her all week on how to grab money (even planning her outfit so that she had pockets).
She scored five whole dollars and was so proud of herself! In the piggy bank it went...
Here's the crew (including the shorty on the end)...although everyone but Amelia is looking at another camera.
