Really, she is my little pork chop. At Juliet's 6 month checkup she was sick with Strep Throat (poor thing although after 12 hrs on antibiotics she was back in business). So with that, we had to postpone her regular checkup for a few weeks and ended up waiting until she was 7 months old. She is in the 95th percentile for height and 85% for height. I don't remember her head size but everything else about her is BIG. She's in size 12 month clothes, is trying really hard to crawl and is on the verge of pulling herself up. She can also stand briefly on her own. Amelia was so lazy about getting mobile (not even thinking of crawling until 9-10 months). This is new to us and we'll have to start babyproofing asap.
She's a great sleeper (napping & through the night) and eater (ha...of course she is!). She's only been on solids for a little over a month but has tried lots of foods. She loves to gnaw on foods put in her little mesh bag (rice cakes, frozen strawberries, oranges, pineapple, blueberries), eats puffs on her own (although it takes her forever to pick one up!) and is even starting to drink a little water out of a sippy cup. She's still funny about drinking milk from a bottle (NEVER at home and only 2 bottles during the whole time we're apart when I'm at work) so the doctor said as long as she's getting her milk it doesn't matter how she gets it. I hope she transitions to a sippy cup early and that bottles aren't going to be in our future a whole lot longer. They're a pain to clean!
Big Sister pretty much just ignores Baby Sister these days and we have to promise the world just to get her to take a photo together. Is this a forced smile on Amelia or what?!
