Getting the Wiggles Out of a 5 Year Old

My dad used to joke and ask if I got the Hyperactive Boy Rate at preschool.  Amelia is known for her hours and hours of endless energy and it takes A LOT to get those wiggles out.  There is nothing calm about this girl.  She loves to belt out songs in the kitchen at full volume in her best Broadway voice.  She can spend an hour on the monkey bars saying "Watch This!"  She's very proud that she's the only girl in her class that can do the monkey bars all the way across!  After we go for a bike ride, it's scooter time then roller skates.  I'm tired just thinking about a day with her!

She's been taking Tumbling classes at the big Gymnastics center and loves it!  She's getting better each week, mostly concerned with getting up into handstands.  However, she's AWFUL (but don't tell her!) at cartwheels.  She also loves her Saturday yoga classes!  We go just about every week and it's our special time together.

We have a mini trampoline that we keep in the kitchen.  Whenever the girls are getting a little too crazy, I tell them to go JUMP!  Juliet calls it the Boing Boing!

Our ritual also includes a hot chocolate from Starbucks.

Tumbling girl!
