Monday was Amelia's 9 month check-up. She's in the 55 percentile for weight (shocking she's not more but she's only 19lbs!) and 68 percentile for height. That means she weighs more than 55% and is taller than 68% of other babies her age. The Dr. was surprised she's already starting to 'cruise' (taking small steps while she holds on to furniture) and was very impressed that she's pulling up to standing very easily. She is on the verge of crawling now and will either drag herself forward or rock back and forth on her hands and knees. She absolutely won't sit still!!

At 9 months, Amelia LIKES:
- Eating with her hands (pasta, chicken, beans, cheese, strawberries)
- Screaming with delight in public places (like restaurants!)
- Sharing her pacifier! She takes it out of her mouth and tries to jam it in mine, and I give it back to her and she giggles and gives it back to me...so cute.
- Testing cause & effect concepts, such as "If I throw my sippy cup across the kitchen, then mommy will go get it!" Again and again!
- Pop Goes the Weasel! and any other knee bouncing games
- Clapping her hands (and she's almost learned how to wave)
- Singing and talking with her vocabulary of "baba", "dada" and "lala"
