Amelia's Baptism

With Christina

Today was Amelia's Baptism! It was such a wonderful day and it was even more special since it was Mother's Day. There were about 10 other babies getting baptized so there were a lot of people in the church (and lots of upset babies!), but Amelia was sooooooo good and only got a little fussy at the end because she didn't like her bonnet. She didn't even cry during the actual baptism with water on her head. Such a good little girl! Godmother Bronwen came in for the weekend and cousin Christina filled in as "Godfather" since Uncle Kenny couldn't make it.

Thank you so much to Bronwen and Abuela for the beautiful dresses. Amelia wore a pretty white pleated dress with satin ribbons from the Dominican Republic that Abuela brought back from her visit a few months ago. She wore it during brunch and for photos before the Baptism (with the matching pearl bracelet!). Then she changed into the gorgeous silk Baptism gown that Bronwen gave Amelia when she was born. It was so perfect for our formal Catholic ceremony.
