Family Day at Bayou Bend

Amelia didn't like when I told her she couldn't jump into the fountain.

Daddies with their daughters.

This was about as close as Amelia, Sienna & Layton would get to each other!

Once a month, the Bayou Bend Collection & Gardens (part of the Museum of Fine Arts Houston) has a free family day, so we visited today.  Built in 1927, it was the home of Ima Hogg (daughter of TX governor and a lifelong philanthropist) and now houses art collections and a variety of beautiful gardens.  The weather was nice today (although the mosquitos were awful) and Amelia loved wandering around and seeing the flowers, fountains & listening to the live bluegrass music.  There was a tour through the house we could have gone on but strollers weren't allowed and Amelia couldn't be trusted to stay with us when there was so much stuff to run off and touch!

We ran into friends Alex & Nancy with Sienna and Maureen & Dan with Layton, which completed our visit.  The kids didn't really care about each other but it was fun for the adults to catch up!
