Things are really taking shape in the new home with spackling, painting, tearing down, installing, decorating, planting, weeding, chlorinating, buying & selling furniture, cleaning/dirtying/cleaning/dirtying floors, etc! We're finally starting to enjoy the house and explore the neighborhood.
The first day we moved in, I stepped out of the car and 2 neighbors came racing out to introduce themselves (they were so excited another family moved in). That would have NEVER happened in our old neighborhood. In fact, we were invited to a birthday party last weekend for the neighbor's 2 yr old and I was introduced to 10 more moms with toddlers who live in the area! We live on a cul-de-sac and apparently when the weather cools everyone brings out the lawn chairs and lets the kids run free. Sounds good to me!
Today's weather was nice - overcast with cooler temps (much better than 97 degree summer days). We went for a stroll down the street and I got some cute photos. We usually bring a baggie on our walks so Amelia can collect pine cones & acorns that are all over the sidewalks.
Such cute boots! Glad you guys are liking the new neighborhood! How great there are so many families!! Can't wait to see pictures of the new house!
