Florida 2012

Well it's been a month since our big vacation and I'm just now posting!  It's pretty easy to lose track of time with 2 little ones and lots to do in the summertime.

We visited Ed's brother Ken & family in West Palm Beach and had so much fun.  The girls were great on the plane - Amelia watched a movie, colored and slept, Juliet smiled, laughed and slept.  We had the BEST compliments after the flights from other passengers:  "wow, we didn't even realize there were young kids near us!".  We were SO proud!

We hadn't seen Ken, Kristin & Mia in TWO YEARS and had never even met 2 yr old Olivia.  I hate that so much time goes by between visits with our dear family members but having kids makes travel tougher.  Amelia didn't remember Mia at all but had seen photos and knew that they looked similar.  It was so funny when we walked in the house - Olivia saw Amelia and ran up to her so confused who this look-alike was!

The only downside to our trip was that Ed's mom had a broken arm!  She had broken it a few weeks prior on a trip to Spain and was still not well.  She couldn't even hold the baby.  Get well soon Angela!

 ...and after!  Look at that hair!  These 2 girls shared a bed for naps and bedtime and did well considering Amelia had never slept with anyone else besides mommy & daddy. However, one night Mia was upset and it turns out that Amelia was telling her that there were snakes under the bed and monsters in the closet.  Poor Mia had the covers up to her chin, trembling, and Amelia was chatting away about scary stuff!
