We had our first taste of Halloween in the 'burbs and it was great! There's lots of cul-de-sacs in our immediate neighborhood and each one had a mini block party - ours was in front of our driveway! We all went trick-or-treating and although it took Amelia a little while to get the hang of it, by the end she was asking for second servings from people! The best loot she found was a lady who gave out matchbox cars & whistles (Amelia walked away with one of each of course!)
Boo! Did I scare you?
She was supposed to be Snow White but after a day of no napping and about 28 tantrums, she ended up as a ballerina. It worked.
Hey Mary Pat - this is the bucket you gave out at Evie's birthday party! Perfect.
This was a scary ghost that rose up about 4 ft when you walked by. It made creepy moaning sounds and had red eyes - scary for the little ones!
She was pretty possessive of that candy bucket - I didn't realize she let Daddy hold it!
Good save on Snow White to ballerina! Ava wouldn't let anyone touch her candy bucket either! She wouldn't even hold it out for people to put candy in it. She just held out her hand. 2 year olds have their own way of doing things . . .
ReplyDeleteAmelia is such a beautiful ballerina!! What a great idea to use the party bucket!
